(Please keep in mind the following prior to watching this...Paprika was loaded up for her first time off the farm, unloaded and taken out to the chute to see what she'd do. She had never seen so much as a pole on the ground and, aside from clearing our pasture fences, had never jumped a thing. We've left the "oops" in there...and they are there...as we think it is really important to see how fast this filly took to the chute and the new environment. You can see by the last two times through she gets the distances and has figured the whole thing out pretty well. This chute was set with distances from the KWPN Keuring guidelines. We'll try to have updated free jump footage as soon as we can plan another outing.

Pika-Age 3

Pika, as we call her, is a very athletic, very smart filly with loads of jumping talent. She showed off to us at just a few months old by jumping out of her paddock to visit her buddies next door. She is a very atypical Palladio offspring in that she is rather sensitive to work with. She is willing to learn and gets better the more things she is asked to do. Pika was a very easy foal to handle and loved all the attention she could get so we feel that some of this may be a "teenager" phase where she is just testing out the boundries. We do however prefer that this mare go only to an experienced home that can work her through her teenager moments so she can really use her talent down the road. By normal two year old standards she really doesn't do anything that odd...we're just very spoiled and used to born broke types.

Pika shown below at age 2

She moves with great impulsion from behind and shows wonderful natural balance. We expect this filly to mature a little on the smaller side, our guess is 15.2-15.3+ hands. We expect her to be very versatile like her siblings as she is already showing her fabulous dressage movement and we expect her to have a wondeful jump as well.

Pika would be a super choice for a serious rider looking for a horse that will not run out of scope.
