Phalcon CF, 2003
By Palladio out of Touch-a-Star xx
This special guy was unfortunate
enough to get kicked in the hock at just a few months old. We immediately
took him to WSU to have a small chip taken out at the impact site. Phalcon
healed perfectly and hasn't taken a lame step or had any heat, swelling
etc. in the two and a half years since the surgury. Vets at WSU gave
him an great prognosis for future work. Phalcon has been recently started
under saddle and seems to like having a job and all the extra attention.
Prior to starting we had his hock re-xrayed to make sure there weren't
any surprise changes that had come up. Happily all that showed was the
site where the small chip had been removed as a foal.
Phalcon is ready to go on
to a riding home. Due to the one xray that will always show the chip
site, we are hoping to find this horse his perfect home. He is a very
sweet horse, used as a weanling buddy for our babies and a generally
excellent character. We feel he would really enjoy being the center
of some riders world so please call if you think you might be the perfect
match for Phalcon. We will be posting new pictures soon with progress
from his under saddle work. Price will increase with training.
